Around three weeks ago, I have set three resolutions for this year.  Let’s recap…

1. To loose at least 5kg.
2. Update my blog at least twice a week.
3. Play less 4D.

As of now, I have not start anyone of them.  Pathetic, huh?  Let’s see why I could not start any of these resolutions.

1. I have been visiting  McDonald’s and KFC more that the number of times I go jogging (which is never).

2. Works-a-piling. No time to blog.

3. Impossible to not buy less 4D. Its my genes.

So there you go.  How can achive my new year resolutions like that?!  Hmmmm…

Happy New Year 2008 To You!

Its the new year… and I get to spend it with close friends (again) this year.  We rented an apartment so we do not have to drive home in the wee hours of the morning after the countdown and heavy booze responsible drinking.  :)  Well… only a few of my friends got wasted real good this time round so they got their money’s worth for sharing the apartment’s rent. Hahaha! :D Anyway, I just want to document my 2008’s resolution here.  Oh… I manage to achieve ALL my 2007 resolutions!  (In fact there’s only one, which is to loose at least 1kg!)  Hahaha… :P

Year 2008 Resolutions for Sam:
1. To loose at least 5kg (a lot of work to be done here).
2. Update my blog at least twice a week.
3. Play less 4D (this would definately be harder than loosing that 5kg)!

coffee

A few nights ago, a few friends and I went for a good cuppa at Starbucks.  Annette asked me a simple question, “how many cups of coffee is considered average and healthy”?.  The reason she asked this is because JeeF tends to drink lots of coffee daily so she is a little concern for his health.  I told her six cups but she keep saying its only four.  So to see who is right and to set the “standard” once and for all, I have done a little research.  According to Coffee Science Information Centre (CoSIC), “Coffee drinking in moderation, 4-5 cups per day, is perfectly safe for the general population and may confer health benefits. Evidence strongly suggests that coffee does indeed have a protective effect against the development of these debilitating illnesses“.

So it is safe to have 4 to 5 cups a day.  So does it mean that if I dont drink coffee from Monday to Saturday, then on Sunday, I can have 35 cups?!  Hmmmm… Anyone game to try that?  :P

Disappointed

It should not be a way to make a comeback to the blog scene by writing something sad… but I guess I just need to flush it out of my system.  There are a few ways I can release all the bad vibes of mine, such as shouting out loud (there is not a place to do it in my workplace), hitting something or someone (but I do not wish to get sued), or down lots of alcohol (its office hours).  So I guess the only place to do it is letting it all go via blog.

Why am I disappointed? Well, lets just say that you are given a chance to do something great. Something you very much look forward to and you know its a chance of a lifetime!  Suddenly, they take it away from you just like that.  With a blink of an eye, its gone.

Dreams shattered…

Heart crushed…

Spirit gone…

That is how I am feeling right now.  What’s to do next? I am not sure myself.  I do not know what to do now.  But definately not worth killing myself…  Well, you get the drift.

So what would you do if you are in my situation?

We normally would see some advice columns in the newspaper during weekends and I have the tendency to read them.  Here is one sent by my friend Stan.  Its too meaningful not to share it.  Do read…

Starbucks1

Finally… Starbucks has set its feet in the land of the hornbills.  The first Starbucks in Sarawak was open for business yesterday (07.07.07) in Kuching International Airport. This outlet has not experienced its “Kuching peak period” yet as of last night.  Maybe many still did not know its existance.  But after the announcement in the papers today, I bet it will be jam-packed soon… just like what happen to Secret Recipe.  My only advice to Starbucks is this… make sure that you provide good service even though there are many customers.  Do not end up like Secret Recipe!

So Starbucks Kuching… Here’s wishing you all the success in your business!

Was tagged by aKho. So here are my five complaintzzzzz:

1. Not enough sleep. Only had average of five hours sleep everyday (except Saturday night where I could clock up to 12 hours!). Hehehe… :D

2. Money not enough. But who has enough? Well… if you have some to spare, kindly contact me. I will pass you my bank account number. ;)

3. Time passes to fast! Its already half year gone. Do not seem to have accomplished much yet. And age is catching up. Sigh. :(

4. Need to reduce some weight. After what happen to my dad, think I better exercise more and loose some weight (ideally I should loose around 15kg! Glup!). But I went jogging for the first time in many years on Monday, my feet got blister! Sien!

5. I want to complain that I could not think of the fifth complain!

Notebook Photo

Being a typical Malaysian and Chinese, I definitely want to buy things that are worth every cents I am going to spend.  In this case, I want to buy a new notebook that is powerful, sleek, lightweight, technologically-advanced, and of course, CHEAP!  So all ye fellow Malaysians out there, I need your help!

I need to find a notebook under 5K that looks really sleek and nice.  At least 1.8GB Intel Core 2 Duo processor with a minimum of 1GB RAM.  Preferably a minimum of 15″ wide-screen monitor and have a DVD writer dual-layer.  Oh… not forgetting the typical Bluetooth + wireless technology and built-in 2.0 Megapix webcam.

Any suggestions?  Oh before I forget… no Acer please (no offence ya). ;)

I got this from my friend.  You try it…

Girl and Cat

There is one Bus, inside the Bus there are 7 Girls, each Girls has 7 bags, inside each bag there are 7 Cats, each Cat has 7 small Cats.

Question: How many Nipples inside the Bus?

Please note that the Cat also has 7 nipples each.

Message me the answer if you have them and I will tell you whether it is right or wrong. ;)

Welcome...

A warm welcome to you, my friend. Fell free to explore my blog and if an article attracts your attention, do leave a comment for me. :D
